Bikroy blur tool for phone numbers and number plates

Drag over a number plate or phone number to blur it, right on your phone.

Add a photo, then drag over a number plate or phone number to blur it.

Quick answer

The Bikroy blur tool hides phone numbers, number plates and labels on a photo when you drag over them with a finger or mouse, then saves a blurred copy. It runs in your browser with no upload. Bikroy lists contact details in photos as a decline reason, but blurring cannot guarantee approval.

What this tool does

How to use it

  1. 1Add the photo you want to post.
  2. 2Drag over the number plate, phone number or label. Change the brush size if you need to.
  3. 3Check the result, then download the blurred photo.

A photo can give away more than you meant to show: a car number plate, a phone number on a shop sign, a name on a parcel label. Bikroy can also decline an ad when a photo shows contact details.

This tool blurs only the part you drag over. It works with a finger on a phone or with a mouse, and the photo stays on your device the whole time. The blur replaces those pixels, so the saved copy no longer holds the original detail.

What to blur before you post

Look for number plates, phone numbers on signs or stickers, addresses on parcels, ID cards, and faces of people who did not agree to appear. Zoom in once before you upload, because small text in a corner is easy to miss.

Bikroy lists contact details in photos as a decline reason. Buyers can still reach you through the contact section of your ad, so hiding a number on the photo does not cost you calls.

Why a strong blur matters

A light blur can leave large numbers guessable. Keep the strength at the middle setting or above for text, and go over it twice if you can still make out the shapes. If the characters remain readable, raise the strength and blur again.

Questions sellers ask

Should I blur my number plate on Bikroy?

Many sellers do, because a plate links the car to its owner and can be copied. Bikroy does not publish a rule about plates that we could find, so this is a privacy choice. Keep the plate visible to serious buyers when they come to see the car.

Will blurring make Bikroy accept my ad?

It removes one possible reason for a decline, contact details on the photo, but we cannot promise approval. Bikroy reviews other things too, such as whether the photo is yours, its quality, and whether it shows one item. Read its posting rules before you submit.

Can someone remove the blur later?

The tool shrinks the area until the detail is gone, then enlarges it again, so the saved file does not contain the original pixels. Use a high strength on text. Keep in mind a very light blur on big characters can still leave them guessable.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Drag with one finger on the photo. While your finger is on the photo the page will not scroll, so scroll from the area beside or below the picture. If the brush feels too big for a small number, lower the brush size first.

How do I hide a phone number in a photo on my phone?

Open this page in your phone browser and add the photo. Lower the brush size if the number is small, then drag one finger over it. Zoom into the result to check nothing is readable, then download the blurred copy to your phone.

Is there a free tool to blur a number plate?

Yes. This tool is free, needs no account and runs in your browser, so the photo of your car is not uploaded. Drag over the plate at the middle strength or above, check the characters cannot be read, and download the copy.

Should I blur or crop a phone number out of my photo?

Crop when the number sits at the edge and nothing useful is lost with it. Blur when it sits on the item, or close enough that cropping would cut the product. Either way, check the final photo at full size before you post it.

Why was my Bikroy ad declined for a phone number in the photo?

Bikroy lists contact details in photos as a decline reason, and says such photos should be replaced. Your number already appears in the contact section of the ad. Take a clean photo or blur the number, then submit again. Your decline notice names the reason.

Can I blur faces or ID cards with this tool?

Yes. The brush blurs anything you drag over, not only numbers. Faces of people who did not agree to appear, ID cards and addresses on parcels are all worth hiding before you post. Use a high strength, and go over small text twice if needed.

Is my photo uploaded when I use the blur tool?

No. The photo is read and blurred by your browser, and it stays on your phone or computer the whole time. That matters here, because the photos you blur often show private details such as plates, addresses or ID cards.
